Ever dreamed of fishing competitively with your friends?   Meet 6 guys who turned that dream into a reality: Shae, Paul, Guy, Josh, Raymond, and Matt. The 4 Barbadians (or as they say,”Bajans”), 1 Guyanese, and 1 Brit make up Outcast Fishing Team, an offshore fishing team based in Barbados.

Although Shae, Paul, Guy, Josh, and Raymond had been fishing together for years, it wasn’t until this past year that they started fishing together competitively. The 5 friends had been searching for a bigger boat when they serendipitously met Matt, an expat from the United Kingdom, who had an offshore fishing boat and was looking to get into fishing.  They joined forces to create Outcast Fishing Team and started competing in January 2015.

This past winter and spring the team competed in several local tournaments like the Budget Marine Spice Island Billfish Tournament and Barbados Game Fishing Association 2 Day Offshore Tournament, as well as the 2015 Barbados International Tournament.  They had several close wins and ended the game fishing season with a load of experience under their belts, and will return to the sea in September for tournaments in St. Lucia and Martinique.  In the meantime, be sure to follow them on Facebook and Instagram as they document their adventures on the warm, turquoise-colored Caribbean water!
